HISTORY OF FAISALABAD

HISTORY OF FAISALABAD

Faisalabad was once part of ancient district Jhang and Sandalbar, mainly consisting of thick forests and local tribes. The city of Lyallpur came into being in 1880 with the city center designed by Captain Poham Young, to imitate the Union Flag with eight roads radiating from a large clock tower (Ghanta Ghar) in the center of eight separate bazaars. In 1895, the rail link between Wazirabad and Lyallpur was completed. As the progress of colonization stepped up, Lyallpur was given the status of a Tehsil of Jhang District and its administration carried on in tents on the old Theh (Mound) of Pucca Mari near Tariqabad.

The city grew into a strong industrial and agricultural center and on the independence of Pakistan, it was a major urban area. In 1977, the name of the city was changed to “Faisalabad”, after the late King Faisal of Saudi Arabia to commemorate the deep friendship which exists between the two great Islamic countries of the world. In 1985, Faisalabad was upgraded as a division with the districts of Faisalabad, Jhang, and Toba Tek Singh.

School Building

SCHOOL BUILDING

The school building compromises three classrooms and two washrooms. The sitting capacity of each room is about 50 to 60 students. The rooms are airy and bright. Whiteboards are available in each Classroom. Different Visual aids, such as Models, Charts, and Maps are also present in the classrooms to help students in their learning process and broaden their imagination. The rooms are provided with proper light management in the winter season when there is dense fog/smog/mist. In both washrooms, facilities of water, soap, and hand sanitizer are readily available. All rooms and washrooms are cleaned regularly to provide a hygienic environment to the students.

Students also enjoy the facility of a playground. There are different trees inside the ground to provide both shade and natural beauty. A hand pump is installed in the school to provide access to pure drinking water. The only deficiency is the unavailability of boundary walls which puts the students and teachers vulnerable to security threats. Higher authorities are requested to pay special attention to this issue and to initiate necessary actions to fix the problem.

The School is situated at about a distance of 24 Kilometer from Faisalabad city. The School comes under the administration of Tehsil Saddar and Markaz Narwala (Male).

Message From Head Master

Education is a vital factor for the progress of any nation. The importance of education is evident from history. The leading nations in the past gave priority to Education. For centuries the Romans were the master of the world. Then there was the age of Muslims. Now the West is commanding over the world. It is only due to the progress in the field of education.

Government Primary School 34 JB (North) Faisalabad is an institution with a history of contribution in the field of education to toddlers in a less privileged area over four decades. Following our traditions, we are striving our best to equip the builders of the future with the latest standards as set by the School Education Department, Government of Punjab. Besides introducing quality education, we here aimed to build the character of our students in the light of the teachings of Islam. The quality of education provided here is compatible with the demands of time. As the basic purpose is to build the foundation of the students for higher studies, due attention is given to improve cognitive skills. I and my team are in constant counseling regarding improving the strategic approach towards quality education. However, as the world is changing rapidly, more rigorous efforts are still needed to keep abreast of the latest trends in the field of teaching.
